Give A Little Bit
Give A Little Bit by Roger Hodgson
Give a little bit — give a little bit of your love to me
I’ll give a little bit — give a little bit of my love to you
There’s so much that we need to share
So send a smile and show you care
Give a little bit — I’ll give a little bit of my life for you
So give a little bit — give a little bit of your time to me
See the man with the lonely eyes
Oh take his hand you’ll be so surprised
Give a little bit — give a little bit of your love to me
I’ll give a little bit — I’ll give a little bit of my life for you
Now’s the time that we need to share
So find yourself — we’re on our way back home
Oh we’re going home
Don’t you need, don’t you need to get back home
Oh yeah we’re going back
We got to get a feeling
Got to get a feeling
Get a feeling right now
We’ve come a long way
Oh what a long ride
We’ve come a long way
Oh can we sing it tonight

Are You Lonesome Tonight
The Blue Nile - Paul Buchanan: Are You Lonesome Tonight
Are you lonesome tonight?
Do you miss me tonight?
Are you sorry
We drifted apart?
Does your memory stray
To a bright summer day?
When I kissed you
And called you sweetheart?
Do the chairs in your parlor
Seem empty and bare?
Do you gaze at your doorstep
And picture me there?
Is your heart filled with pain,
Shall I come back again?
Tell me dear,
Are you lonesome tonight?
Do the chairs in your parlor
Seem empty and bare?
Do you gaze at your doorstep
And picture me there?
Is your heart filled with pain,
Shall I come back again?
Tell me dear,
Are you lonesome tonight?
Tell me dear,
Are you lonesome tonight?

Here comes the rain again
Annie Lennox & Paul Buchanan - Here comes the rain again
Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you
{Refrain}
So baby talk to me
Like lovers do
Walk with me
Like lovers do
Talk to me
Like lovers do

First we kiss
Anna Calvi - First we kiss
My heart beats against the wardrobe
I hear the closing door
Beats against the window
Tell me how long, tell me how long
Feel it come from nowhere
Taking over me
Feel it come from nowhere
Tell me why, tell me why
First we'll kiss
Then you will lock the door, my dear
A perfect kiss
Just to remind what's between us
Tonight is here
Feel it come from nowhere
Taking over me
Feel it come from nowhere
Tell me why, tell me why
First we'll kiss
Then you will lock the door, my dear
A perfect kiss
Just to remind what's between us tonight
What's between us tonight, tonight
As I hear the closing door
Our face against the window
Our lips touch no more
And suddenly from up here
Everything's clear
The love we had between us tonight
Is here
My heart beats against the wardrobe
I hear the closing door
Beats against the window
Tell me how long, tell me how long
Feel it come from nowhere
Taking over me
Feel it come from nowhere
Tell me why, tell me why

Las simples cosas
"Silêncio, silêncio: a partir de hoje, as amarguras voltarão a ser amargas... morreu a grande senhora Chavela Vargas".
Chavela Vargas, "Las simples cosas"
descobri rosas alarguei cidades

P'ra te salvar à beirinha do fim
Eu faço a minha ultima jogada
P'ra te salvar à beirinha do fim
Depois, num volte face vestir os calções

Solitude
SOLITUDE - Rodrigo Leão
Ah, j’aime biens l’espoir quand s’on va
Dans les ailes froides de ton âme
C’est si grand le désir de ta voix
Mais ces vagues énormes m’entrainent
Mon cœur dis moi
Pourquoi cette douleur
Je vois la peur dans tes yeux
Et toi, non, tu n’es pas seul
Il faut tuer la solitude en toi
Ah, j’aime biens l’espoir quand s’on va
Mais ces vagues énormes m’entraine
Mon cœur dis moi
Pourquoi cette douleur
Je vois la peur dans tes yeux
Et toi, tu n’es pas seul
Il faut tuer la solitude en toi
Et toi, tu n’es pas seul
Il faut tuer la solitude en toi

I've got you under my skin
Frank Sinatra - I've got you under my skin
I've got you under my skin
I've got you deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart, that you're really a part of me
I've got you under my skin.
I tried so not to give in
And I said to myself this affair never will go so well
But why should I try to resist, when baby I know so well
That I've got you under my skin.
I'd sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of having you near
In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night
And repeats, repeats in my ear
Don't you know you little fool, you never can win
Use your mentality, wake up to reality,
But each time that I do, just the thought of you
Makes me stop before I begin,
'Cause I've got you under my skin
I would sacrifice anything come what might
for the sake of having you near
in spite of a warning voice
That comes in the night and repeats,
how it yells in my ear
Don't you know you little fool, you never can win
Why not use your mentality, step up, wake up to reality
And each time I do, just the thought of you
Makes me stop just before I begin
'Cause I've got you under my skin
Yeah, You breath me under my skin.

Speak Low (III)
Tony Bennett, Norah Jones - Speak Low
Time is so old and love so brief
Love is pure gold, time’s a thief.
Speak low
When you speak love
Our summer days wither away
too soon too soon
speak low
when you speak love
Our moment is swift, like ships adrift
we're swept apart, too soon.
Speak low,
darling speak low
love is a spark lost in the dark too soon, too soon
i think wherever I’ll go
that tomorrow is near
tomorrow is here and always to soon.
Time is so old and love so brief
Love is pure gold and time a thief
We’re late,
Darling we’re late
The curtain descends
everything ends too soon too soon
I’l wait, oh darling i’ll wait
Will you speak low to me,
speak love to me and soon
Time is so old and love so brief
Love is pure gold and time’s a thief
We’re late,
Darling we’re late
The curtain it sends
everything ends too soon too soon.
I’l wait, oh darling i’ll wait
Will you speak low to me
Speak love to me
Will you speak low to me
Love to me and soon
Speak low, speak love,
Speak low, speak love.

"Speak Low" (1943) is a popular song
composed by Kurt Weill, with
lyrics by Ogden Nash. It was
introduced by Mary Martin
and Kenny Baker in the Broadway musical One Touch of
Venus (1943). The 1944 hit single was by Guy Lombardo and his orchestra, with vocal by
Billy Leach. Barbra
Streisand recorded a David Foster arrangement of "Speak Low" for her 1993
album, Back to
Broadway [1] The tune is a jazz
standard that has been widely recorded, both by vocal artists from Billie Holiday to The Miracles to Dee Dee
Bridgewater, and such instrumentalists as Bill Evans, Roy Hargrove and Brian Bromberg. Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass recorded this in 1983 (on CD Speak
Love).

Comfortably Numb
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
Hello, Is there anybody in there?Just nod if you can hear me Is there anyone at home? Come on now I hear you're feeling down I can ease your pain And get you on your feet again
Relax I'll need some information first Just the basic facts Can you show me where it hurts
There is no pain, you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I had a feverMy hands felt just like two balloons
Now I've got that feeling once again I can't explain, you would not understand This is not how I am I have become comfortably numb I have become comfortably numb
O.K. Just a little pin prick There'll be no more (aaaaaaaah!)But you may feel a little sick Can you stand up? I do believe it's working, good That'll keep you going, through the show Come on it's time to go.
There is no pain you are receding A distant ship smoke on, the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move, but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown The dream is gone And IIIIII... have become Comfortably numb.

Crazy Love
Crazy Love - Ray Charles & Van Morrison
I can hear her heart beat for a thousand miles
And the heavens open every time she smiles
And when I come to her that's where I belong
Yet I'm running to her like a river's song
Chorus:
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She's got a fine sense of humor when I'm feeling low down
And when I come to her when the sun goes down
Take away my trouble, take away my grief
Take away my heartache, in the night like a thief
Chorus:
Yes I need her in the daytime
Yes I need her in the night
Yes I want to throw my arms around her
Kiss her hug her kiss her hug her tight
And when I'm returning from so far away
She gives me some sweet lovin' brighten up my day
Yes it makes me righteous, yes it makes me feel whole
Yes it makes me mellow down in to my soul

T'as l'air d'une chanson
Paroles:
Jean-Loup Dabadie
Avec des mots faciles
Et ton air difficile
Avec tes mots d'amour
Qu'on ne comprend pas toujours
T'as l'air d'une chanson
Qu'on chante à la maison
Y'a des jours où tu sais
Tu n'es pas un succès
Y'a des jours où ton père
N'est sûrement pas Prévert
Mais t'as l'air d'une chanson
Qu'on chante entre garçons
Ma femme, la la la la la la...
Ma femme, la la la la la la...
Ça fait belle lurette
Que je t'ai dans la tête
T'es pas la Madelon
Mais t'as l'air d'une chanson
Qu'a fait bien d'autres guerres
Dont j'étais l'adversaire
Et puis malgré les crises
Malgré mes maints exodes
Comme le temps des cerises
T'es revenue à la mode
T'as l'air d'une chanson
Fidèle à son violon
Ma femme, la la la la la...
Ma femme, la la la la la...
Tu es faite de quoi
Quatre coups de crayon
Deux trois notes de joie
Et beaucoup de brouillons
Et tu racontes quoi
Une histoire qui me plaît
Si je ne suis pas toujours
Là dans tous les couplets
Je reviens au refrain
Et j'appelle ça l'amour
Tu es faite de quoi
Tu es faite de moi
Ma femme, la la la la la...
Ma femme, la la la la la...
Y'a des jours où tu sais
Tu n'es pas un succès
Y'a des jours où ton père
N'est sûrement pas Prévert
Mais tu es la chanson
Qui ne doit pas finir
Je te joue longuement
Je me trompe souvent

A vous la splendeur de rayons baignée ;
A moi la poussière, à moi l'araignée.
Vous êtes bien belle et je suis bien laid ;
Soyez la fenêtre et moi le volet.
Nous réglerons tout dans notre réduit.
Je protégerai ta vitre qui tremble ;
Nous serons heureux, nous serons ensemble ;
Nous réglerons tout dans notre réduit ;

Mon bel amour mon cher amour ma déchirure
Louis Aragon (La Diane Francaise, Seghers 1946)

Louis Aragon (La Diane Francaise, Seghers 1946)
Mon Petit Vieux
Camille - Mon Petit Vieux - Lausanne - Metropop Festival 2008
Bleu, bleu, bleu

Un poco más
y a lo mejor nos comprendemos luego,
un poco más
que traigo aroma de cariño nuevo;
volvamos al camino del amor,
no importa lo que tengas que olvidar,
si vamos a sufrir por un error
es preferible un ruego.
Un poco más
será el alivio para dos fracasos,
y si te vas
llévate al menos mis cansados brazos
al fin que ya te di
mi cariño, mi fe y mi vida entera,
y si no te los llevas qué me importa
que se queden afuera.
Por qué te vas, mi bien,
tan deprisa, no gozas mi agonía,

Don't Cry
Guns N' Roses - Don't Cry
Talk to me softly
There's something in your eyes
Don't hang your head in sorrow
And please don't cry
I know how you feel inside
I've been there before
Something changing inside you
And don't you know
Don't you cry tonight
I still love you baby
Don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry all tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
And don't you cry all tonight
Give me a whisper
And give me a sign
Give me a kiss before
You tell me goodbye
Don't you take it so hard now
And please don't take it so bad
I'll still be thinking of you
And the times we had baby
Don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
And don't you cry tonight
And please remember
That I never lied
And please remember
How I felt inside now honey
You gotta make it your own way
But you'll be alright now sugar
You'll feel better tomorrow
Come the morning light now baby
Don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
Don't you cry, don't you ever cry
Don't you cry tonight
Baby, maybe someday
Don't you cry, don't you ever cry
Don't you cry tonight

Kiss From a Rose
Seal Kiss From a Rose
Baby,
I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray.
Ooh,
The more I get of you,
The stranger it feels, yeah.
And now that your rose is in bloom.
A light hits the gloom on the gray.
There is so much a man can tell you,
So much he can say.
You remain,
My power, my pleasure, my pain, baby
To me you're like a growing addiction that I can't deny.
Won't you tell me is that healthy, baby?
But did you know,
That when it snows,
My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen.
Baby,
I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray.

And She Was
Talking Heads - And She Was
And she was lying in the grass
And she could hear the highway breathing
And she could see a nearby factory
She's making sure she is not dreaming
See the lights of a neighbor's house
Now she's starting to rise
Take a minute to concentrate
And she opens up her eyes
CHORUS:
The world was moving and she was right there with it (and she was)
The world was moving she was floating above it (and she was) and she was
And she was drifting through the backyard
And she was taking off her dress
And she was moving very slowly
Rising up above the earth
Moving into the universe
Drifting this way and that
Not touching ground at all
Up above the yard
CHORUS
She was glad about it... no doubt about it
She isn't sure where she's gone
No time to think about what to tell them
No time to think about what she's done
And she was
And she was looking at herself
And things were looking like a movie
She had a pleasant elevation
She's moving out in all directions
CHORUS
Joining the world of missing persons (and she was)
Missing enough to feel alright (and she was)

When The Deal Goes Down
Bob Dylan - When The Deal Goes Down
In the still of the night, in the world's ancient light
Where wisdom grows up in strife
My bewilderin' brain, toils in vain
Through the darkness on the pathways of life
Each invisible prayer is like a cloud in the air
Tomorrow keeps turnin' around
We live and we die, we know not why
But I'll be with you when the deal goes down
We eat and we drink, we feel and we think
Far down the street we stray
I laugh and I cry, and I'm haunted by
Things I never meant nor wished to say
The midnight rain follows the train
We all wear the same thorny crown
Soul to soul, our shadows roll
And I'll be with you when the deal goes down
Well, the moon gives light and it shines by night
When I scarcely feel the glow
We learn to live and then we forgive
O'er the road we're bound to go
More frailer than the flowers, these precious hours
That keep us so tightly bound
You come to my eyes like a vision from the skies
And I'll be with you when the deal goes down
Well, I picked up a rose and it poked through my clothes
I followed that winding stream
I heard the deafening noise,
I felt transient joys
I know they're not what they seem
In this earthly domain, full of disappointment and pain
You'll never see me frownI owe my heart to you and that's sayin' it true
And I'll be with you when the deal goes down

Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes
Paul Simon - Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes
Graceland features an eclectic mixture of musical styles including pop, a cappella, isicathamiya, rock, and mbaqanga. Much of the album was recorded in South Africa, and it features many South African musicians and groups. Simon faced accusations that he had broken the cultural boycott imposed by the rest of the world against the apartheid regime in South Africa, which was in its final years at the time. This view was not supported by the United Nations Anti-Apartheid Committee, as the album showcased the talents of the black South African musicians while offering no support to the South African government. The worldwide success of the album introduced some of the musicians, especially the vocal group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, to global audiences of their own. Simon included American 'roots' influences with tracks featuring Zydeco and Tex-Mex musicians. The Everly Brothers sing harmony on the title track. Linda Ronstadt appears on the track "Under African Skies", the second verse of which Simon wrote based on her childhood experiences.

Scarborough Fair
Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary & thyme
Remember me to one who lives there
She once was a true love of mine
Tell her to make me a cambric shirt
(On the side of a hill in the deep forest green)
Parsely, sage, rosemary & thyme
(Tracing a sparrow on snow-crested ground)
Without no seams nor needlework
(Blankets and bedclothes a child of the mountains)
Then she'll be a true love of mine
(Sleeps unaware of the clarion call)
Tell her to find me an acre of land
(On the side of a hill, a sprinkling of leaves)
Parsely, sage, rosemary, & thyme
(Washed is the ground with so many tears)
Between the salt water and the sea strand
(A soldier cleans and polishes a gun)
Then she'll be a true love of mine
Tell her to reap it in a sickle of leather
(War bellows, blazing in scarlet battalions)
Parsely, sage, rosemary & thyme
(Generals order their soldiers to kill)
And to gather it all in a bunch of heather
(And to fight for a cause they've long ago forgotten)
Then she'll be a true love of mine
Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary & thyme
Remember me to one who lives there
She once was a true love of mine.

Isn't it a pity
Isn't it a pity
you don't know what i'm talking about yet
but i will tell you soon
it's a pity
isn't it a pity
isn't it a shame
yes, how we break each other's hearts
and cause each other pain
how we take each other's love
without thinking anymore
forgetting to give back
forgetting to remember
just forgetting and no thank you
isn't it a pity
some things take so long
but how do i explain
why not too many people can see
that we are all just the same
we're all guilty
because of all the tears
our eyes just can't hope to see
but i don't think it's applicable to me
the beauty that surrounds them
child, isn't it a pity
how we break each other's hearts
and cause each other pain
how we take each other's love
the most precious thing
without thinking anymore
forgetting to give back
forgetting to keep open our door
isn't it a pity
isn't it a pity
some things take so long
but how do i explain
isn't it a pity
why not too many people
can see we're all the same
because we cry so much
our eyes can't, can't hope to see
that's not quite true
the beauty that surrounds them
maybe that's why we cry
God, isn't it a pity
Lord knows it's a pity
mankind has been so programmed
that they don't care about nothin'
that has to do with care
c-a-r-e
how we take each other's love
the most precious thing
without thinking anymore
forgetting to give back
forgetting to keep open the door
but i understand some things take so long
but how do i explain
why not too many people
can see we're just the same
and because of all their tears
their eyes can't hope to see
the beauty that surrounds them
God, isn't it a pity
the beauty that surrounds them
it's a pity
we take each other's love
just take it for granted
without thinking anymore
we give each other pain
and we shut every door
we take each other's minds
and we're capable of take each other's souls
we do it every day
just to reach some financial goal
Lord, isn't it a pity, my God
isn't it a pity, my God
and so unnecessary
just a little time, a little care
a little note written in the air
just the little thank you
we just forget to give back
cause we're moving too fast
moving too fast
forgetting to give back
but some things take so long
and i cannot explain
the beauty that surrounds us
and we don't see it
we think things are just the same
we've been programmed that way
isn't it a pity
if you want to feel sorry
isn't it a pity
isn't it a pity
the beauty sets the beauty that surrounds us
because of all our tears
our eyes can't hope to see
maybe one day at least i'll see me
and just concentrate on givin', givin', givin', givin'
and till that day
mankind don't stand a chance
don't know nothin' about romance
everything is plastic
isn't it a pity
my God.

Just like a woman
Nina Simone - Just Like A Woman
I take
Just like a woman
Yes I do
And I make love
Just like a woman
And I ache
Just like a woman
But I break
Like a little girl
Nobody here feels any pain
Tonight as I stand inside the rain
And no one has to guess
That baby's got new clothes
Lately I see her ribbons and her bows
And the problems
From her curls
REFRAIN
I take
Just like a woman...
It was raining from the first
And I was dying her of thirst
That's why I came here
And a long time's curse
And what's worse
Is this pain in here
I can't stay in here
Ain't it clear
Ain't it clear
I must admit
I believe it's time for me to quit
And until we meet again
Bein' introduced as friends
Please don't let on
That you knew me when
I was hungry
And it was your world
REFRAIN
I take
Just like a woman....
____________________________
Original lyric by Bob Dylan
Nobody feels any pain
Tonight as I stand here in the rain.
Everybody knows that baby's got new clothes,
But lately I see her ribbons and her bows
Have fallen from her curls.
She takes just like a woman.
She makes love just like a woman.
And then she aches just like a woman.
But she breaks just like a little girl.
Queen Mary, she's my friend.
Yes I believe I'll go see her again.
Nobody has to guess that baby can't be blessed
'Till she finally sees that she's like all the rest
With her fog, her amphetamines, and her pearls.
She takes just like a woman.
She makes love just like a woman.
And then she aches just like a woman.
But she breaks just like a little girl.
(break:)
It raining at first, and I was dying there of thirst,
So I came in here.
And your long-time curse hurts, but what's worse
Is this pain in here.
I can't stay in here.
Ain't it clear...
That I just can't fit.
I believe it's time for us to quit.
But when we met again and are introduced as friends,
Please don't let on that you knew me when
I was hungry, and it was your world.
You take just like a woman.
You make love just like a woman.
And then you ache just like a woman.
But you break just like a little girl.
